Napoleon Playing Cards

This deck, which illustrates the neoclassical taste of the Napoleonic era, was made by the engraver Gatteaux and published in 1811 by Dubois. Napoleon himself is depicted in the role of Cesare, at whose feet can be seen the shield with his imperial symbol.
